Patricia Sonnino
2 classes
Saturday & Sunday from 9:30am-5:30pm

In this class we will survey the graphic traditions of story telling exemplified by the Bayeux tapestry, Roman friezes, Pompeian frescos, historic maps, and comics. We will discuss techniques used film and theatre that are useful in inspiring drawing: the pan, the close-up, the context, the sets, and the characters. Students will work with various pictorial formats as a springboard to create their own personal narratives or abstract sequences.
